Heaven or Hell? Luke 13:22-30

There is a time period for everything. The bible, along with  historical records, place Jesus’s entrance into this world over two thousand years ago. While He was here physically and now Spiritually, He has been working on our understanding of life and death. The life and death He speaks of is not just a physical but a spiritual one. Like it or not, There is an eternal life to live and we have a choice as to where we spend it.

Two thousand years ago and since then, He has been knocking at our door. Revelation 3:30 says:  “ Behold, I stand at the door and knock; If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.” We are still living through that gathering period. That open invitation. Do you hear Him knocking? Do you hear Him calling on you? The day is coming when He says we will be doing the knocking and it will be too late for the door will be locked. Our choice made.

In our scripture today, He said in Luke 13:25 ” Once the head of the house gets up and shuts the door, and you begin to stand out-side and knock on the door, saying, “Lord, open up to us! then He will answer and say to you, “I do not know where you are from” “DEPART FROM ME ALL YOU EVILDOERS”

How much time do we have? have you thought about it? This is a question, most of us don’t like to ponder upon. You might be saying, come on! you crazy Jesus follower! leave me alone! Be on your way and let me live my life the way I want to, right? Ignore this words but we are all facing an end sooner or later. The question we have to ask is do we know where we are going? If you give Jesus any credit at all, then you better hear what He has to say to you today for you don’t know if you will be here tomorrow.

In this scripture, as He was going through the Villages delivering the message, someone asked: Lord, are there just a few who are being saved? His answer did not point to the popular door or through many doors. He said: “Strive to enter through the narrow door.” Not many will chose such, but I am giving all the chance to do so. The most popular doors that provide the pleasure your self-seeking life demands, will be chosen by the majority and they would not want to hear of the narrow door.

Once you realized, you took the wrong door, you will try to come back and knock  on this narrow one and when you do, once it is shut, you will try to convince Me that you did know Me. Knowing who I am and knowing Me are two different things. For if you had a relationship with Me, I would know you, and you would have done what I say to you. We would have walked this earthly journey together. If you did not, it does not matter if you tell Me that you ate and drank in my presence, that I taught in your streets. My answer to you will be: “I do not know where you are from”  “DEPART FROM ME EVILDOERS”

I am telling you now and be forwarned. In that place, there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. You will be sorry when  you see all those who chose the narrow door, coming from all corners of the world reclining at the King’s table along with Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and all the prophets of the kingdom of God, who came to forewarn you also and you yourselves being thrown out because you did not listen.

Be aware also that some of you may think that you are in line with my Kingdom and walking the right path. Pay attention to My words and humble yourself to my teachings for those who are humble will  be first and those who think they are great in the Kingdom will be last.

Please think about it! Can you guarantee your tomorrow? can you make your own heart beat? Isn’t there enough evidence for you to at least make time to listen to Jesus? don’t just listen to my words. Read His Word. Read the Bible. What do you have to lose? Trust Him, if He says you have an eternal life to regret your choices why not at least make an informed decision for your destination?
